Information for Fall 2026-2027 GMS Sports

FOOTBALL: Football conditioning begins on August 17th from 5pm - 7pm at GIS. 7th grade coaches are to be determined. 8th Grade coaches are Brandon Suchey and Mark Warren. There is also a football camp on June 23rd from 5pm - 7pm at GHS.

Cross Country: Cross Country practice will begin on August 24th from 5pm - 6pm at GMS. Scott Doederlein is the coach.

Volleyball: Girls' volleyball will have tryouts at GMS starting August 24th from 3:30pm-5:30pm. The 7th grade coach is Jennie Boike. The 8th grade coach is Julia Neuvirth.

A current physical must be on file for all students in order to participate. Physical forms may be submitted to the Board of Education Office, Monday through Thursday, between 7:30 a.m. and 3:30 p.m. Forms may also be delivered to Gaylord Middle School during regular school hours or provided directly to the coach at the first scheduled practice.

Athletic Physical Form

All Athlete's must have a physical dated April 15th, 2026 or later on file in the office before they are allowed to participate in after-school sports. Okay to give to coach at first practice.
